2017 Undergraduate Research Symposium

2017 Undergraduate Research Symposium – Thursday, May 18, 2017 – EMU

The Undergraduate Symposium is the UO’s annual celebration of undergraduate research and creative scholarship. Students from every academic discipline can submit to present their research or creative work to members of UO’s community of scholars.

  • The 2017 Symposium will take place on Thursday, May 18 and will conclude with a reception and awards ceremony from 5-7 pm and a co-sponsored talk (with the Center for Global Health) at 7 pm by Professor Robert Fullilove (Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University)—“Mass Incarceration and its Impact on Community Health”.
  • An information session for students is planned for Tuesday, January 17 at 6 pm in the Global Scholars Hall Learning Commons.

“The Seventh Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium will host over 200 undergraduates engaged in original research, creative work, and community-based projects from over 50 majors and seven colleges in the Erb Memorial Union for a day of oral and poster presentations, creative work installations, and artistic performances. The Undergraduate Research Symposium also wishes to acknowledge the faculty mentors who sponsor the presenters throughout their presentation process.”
