A faculty advisor is assigned to each student who has declared Political Science as a major. To find your advisor:
Faculty advisors are excellent resources for students who are unclear about departmental requirements, need help planning schedules, or for people looking for more information about the major. It is important to keep in mind, however, that faculty members are typically unable to devote large amounts of time for advising. Most advising takes place during the faculty's office hours or through short, prearranged appointments.
If you would like to meet with your faculty advisor, please arrange your own appointment. Contact information can be found in the department directory. The office staff cannot schedule advising appointments for you.
If you would like to officially change your faculty advisor, please see the undergraduate coordinator in 936 PLC.
See the department directory for a list of all faculty advisors and their office hours.
For questions regarding transfer coursework, please contact Anna Gruben.
For questions regarding the political science honors and field studies programs, please contact Priscilla Yamin, the 2009-10 coordinator.
For questions regarding Pi Sigma Alpha and the peer advisor program, please contact Joe Lowndes.
For advising questions regarding petitions, or other specialized questions concerning major requirements, please contact Jane Cramer.
General advising questions may be directed to the undergraduate coordinator in the Political Science office or to the peer advisors.
