Academic Advising

Summer 2019 Advising Office Hours (PLC 907):

June 24 – September 6

Mondays & Thursdays* 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

*There will be no advising hours on August 29th & September 2nd*

Questions about university requirements, graduation and general education requirements may be directed to the Office of Academic Advising. Academic Advising can also help you select and pursue a course of study, create a plan for graduation, or problem solve.

Please note: No appointment is required to meet with either our Undergraduate Advisor or Peer Advisor!


Peer Advising 

Drop in office hours are posted below and on the door of PLC 907. Peer Advisors may also be reached via email: pspeers@uoregon.edu.

Peer Advisors provide supplemental support to our fellow undergraduates in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Services include:

  • Answering questions about major and minor degree requirements
  • Providing information about specific courses or instructors
  • What to do when you graduate
  • Internships
  • Information about graduate programs and schools
  • Links to other campus support services
  • Free peer editing of papers and essays
  • Information on Pi Sigma Alpha

Tykeson Advising – beginning 9/16/19

The Tykeson College and Career Advising in Willie and Donald Tykeson Hall is UO’s new advising center, located on 13th Avenue, between Johnson and Chapman Halls. At Tykeson Hall, you can work with professional College and Career Advisors who can help you explore your interests, schedule your classes, plan for graduation, discuss career interests, and more.

After September 16, 2019, you can schedule appointments with our Tykeson College and Career Advising team via the EAB Navigate app available in the App Store or Google Play. Please visit the Office of Academic Advising’s website for information about appointments and hours of operation.
